Applicants for vacant Bingham County magistrate judgeship announced

BLACKFOOT — The Seventh Judicial District Magistrates Commission has announced the names of the applicants who will be offered an interview for the vacant Bingham County Magistrate Judge position.
Following the retirement of the Honorable Judge Scott H. Hansen, the candidates who will be interviewed to take his place as a magistrate judge have been announced as:
- Jason R. Chandler: Deputy Attorney General for the Office of the Idaho Attorney General in Blackfoot
- Jessalyn R. Hopkin: Trial Attorney III for the Idaho State Public Defender’s Office in Chubbuck
- N. Paul Rogers: Prosecutor & Private Practice Attorney for the Custer County Prosecutor’s Office, the Bingham County Prosecutor’s Office (Civil) & Rogers Law, PLLC, in Blackfoot
- Garrett H. Sandow: Attorney for the Law Office of Garrett Sandow in Blackfoot
Interviews will be held on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at the Bingham County Courthouse located at 501 North Maple Street in Blackfoot.
These interviews are open to the public; however, space may be limited. The Magistrates Commission will deliberate in Executive Session.
