DRIGGS — Democrat Kim Keeley defeated incumbent Republican Brad Wolfe in the race for Teton County commissioner, winning Tuesday’s general election.

Keeley received 3,792 votes, or approximately 62%, compared to Wolfe’s 2,330 votes, or 38%, according to election results.

The victory marks a change in representation on the Teton County Commission, with Keeley unseating Wolfe and earning the opportunity to represent county residents.

The race was among the local contests decided by Teton County voters Tuesday as residents cast ballots for the candidates they want representing them in county government.

As a commissioner, Keeley will help make decisions on issues affecting Teton County, including land use, planning and zoning, county budgets and public services.

As a Democrat, she will join fellow Democrat Dan Powers and Republican Ron James on the commission.

Keeley will join the county’s governing board as it continues addressing the challenges and opportunities facing one of eastern Idaho’s growing communities.
