Local dentists providing free services for children as part of ‘Give Kids A Smile Day’

IDAHO FALLS — On Friday, February 1, several local dentists and their staffs will give free dental care to uninsured children in need.
It’s part of the American Dental Association Foundation’s ‘Give Kids A Smile’ program that was launched in 2003.
Each year, 350,000 to 400,000 American children benefit from more than 1,500 events, all because of the efforts of 40,000 or more annual volunteers nationwide.
Idaho dentists provided free treatment to 974 children during February 2018.
Who is eligible?
– Children who do not have dental insurance, CHIP or current Idaho Smiles (Medicaid) card
– Children ages 3 to 18 years
– Children must have a parent or legal guardian accompany them to the dental office to allow consent for
service and provide current medical history
