QB Matt Hasselbeck Signs With Indianapolis Colts
Published at(INDIANAPOLIS) — Free agent quarterback Matt Hasselbeck agreed to a contract with the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the Tennessee Titans released him. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 37-year-old Hasselbeck is expected to back up starting quarterback Andrew Luck.
The three-time Pro Bowler spent the previous two seasons with the Titans, where he tossed 4,938 yards and 25 touchdowns against 19 interceptions.
Hasselbeck spent 10 years with the Seattle Seahawks, from 2001 through 2010, passing for 29,434 yards along with 174 touchdowns and 128 interceptions. He led the Seahawks to an appearance in Super Bowl XL, where they loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 21-10.
