Woman dies in two-vehicle crash in western Idaho

BOISE – A Marsing woman was killed Friday night in a crash on Idaho Highway 21, according to information received by Idaho State Police.

ISP is investigating the two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred at 7:03 p.m., Friday, Aug. 15, at southbound ID-21 at milepost 49.5, in Boise County.

A 19-year-old woman from Homedale, with a 22-year-old female passenger and one juvenile passenger, both of Marsing, was traveling southbound in a 1997 Saturn SL1.

A 59-year-old male and a 64-year-old female passenger, both of Kuna, were driving a 2014 Ram 3500 pickup northbound.

The Saturn ran off the road and came back on, crossing the center line into oncoming traffic, where it collided with the Ram, according to an ISP report.

The driver of the Saturn was transported by air ambulance, and the juvenile was transported by ground ambulance, both to local hospitals.

Neither adult occupant of the Saturn was wearing their seatbelt; the juvenile was restrained in a child safety seat. The occupants of the Ram were wearing their seatbelts, according to the ISP report.

The 22-year-old female passenger of the Saturn died at the scene of the crash, according to an ISP report.

The occupants of the Ram were not transported.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
