AMMON — The quarter-mile walk and roll will circle the park, which will also include a bounce house, face painting, balloon art, permanent jewelry, and a raffle. Items in the raffle include a membership to Guns N Gear, vacation stays, and many more services and other items donated by local businesses.

The park is at 1867 Eagles Homestead Dr. in Ammon.

Facioscapulohumeral (FSHD) is one of several forms of muscular dystrophy.

According to the FSHD Society, FSHD presents as skeletal muscle weakness “Typically beginning in early teenage years with the loss of muscles in the face (facio), shoulders (scapula, upper arms, (humerus), legs or core.

“FSHD can spread to any muscle. There is no effective treatment or cure – but there is hope.”

Proceeds from this Walk and Roll to Cure FSHD go toward helping to find a cure.
