Man killed in Spencer crash identified by coroner

SPENCER — A 76-year-old man who was killed during a crash in Spencer has been identified.
Clark County Coroner Brenda Laird identified the man as Terry Bertamini from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
According to a news release from Idaho State Police, troopers responded to the crash on Oct. 23 at 5:09 p.m., on southbound Interstate 15 at milepost 183, north of Spencer.

A white 1996 Dodge van, driven by a 77-year-old female, with Bertamini as the passenger, was driving southbound on I-15. The van drove off the left side of the road and came to rest in the northbound left lane.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was transported via ground ambulance to the local hospital. Bertamini was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The left lane of northbound I-15 was blocked for approximately four hours. Idaho State Police was assisted by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Clark County EMS.
This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
