(WASHINGTON) — If you work at a Hispanic media outlet, chances are House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, followed you on Twitter Friday afternoon.
With the debate over immigration reform heating up, the speaker’s office appears interested in following Hispanic media. Around 85 Hispanic outlets and journalists were added to his Twitter follower list Friday afternoon.
Boehner’s office also started following other key players in the immigration debate, such as staff members of Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
Boehner’s office did not immediately respond when asked about Friday’s following binge.
