6.4-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Northern Chile

iStock/Thinkstock(SANTIAGO, Chile) — Northern Chile was rocked by a 6.4-magnitude earthquake early Monday morning.
So far, there have been no reports of injuries or damage.
The quake struck 30 miles east southeast of Putre at 1:51 a.m. local time, near Chile’s border with Bolivia, according to the United States Geological Survey. It had a depth of just over 75 miles.
