Coast Guard Medevacs Sailor Missing for More than Two Months

Luis Santana/iStock/Thinkstock(PORTSMOUTH, Va.) — The U.S. Coast Guard is medically evacuating a man from a disabled sailing vessel who had been missing for over two months.
According to a USCG press release, Louis Jordan, 37, was reported missing, along with the sailing vessel Angel, on Jan. 29. Jordan was spotted by a German-flagged ship at about 1:30 p.m. on Thursday about 200 miles east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
A Coast Guard helicopter was dispatched from Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina to transport the man to a Norfolk, Virginia, hospital.
