Duke Student Has Admitted Responsibility in Noose Incident

Stockbyte/Thinkstock(DURHAM, N.C.) — A Duke student has admitted to placing a noose on a tree on the university’s campus on Wednesday.
The student was not identified by the university or authorities, but a statement from the school said that the individual was no longer on campus. The school says it will hold the student to its student conduct process.
Duke continues to investigate to determine whether additional individuals may have been involved in the incident.
