James Corden Falls for Katie Couric’s April Fools’ Day Prank

Sonja Flemming/CBS(LOS ANGELES) — Katie Couric put quite a scare into new Late Late Show host James Corden on April Fools’ Day.
When Corden introduced Couric as a guest on his CBS late-night show on Wednesday night, the Yahoo newswoman emerged from a curtain and attempted to adjust her shoe before losing her balance and tumbling down a flight of stairs.
Or so it appeared — as a concerned Corden walked over to the woman and asked if she was OK, the real Couric came out and exclaimed, “April Fools!”
Corden had a good laugh, then carried Couric to join the other guests, Jeremy Piven and Emmy Rossum. He said, “I can’t breathe. That’s like my worst nightmare. That was so funny!”
