Coeur d’Alene police officer shot, in critical condition

COEUR d’ALENE — The Idaho State Police are investigating a shooting that left a Coeur d’Alene police officer in critical condition early Tuesday morning.
The ISP has confirmed the suspect is in custody and a press conference to discuss the incident is scheduled for Tuesday morning at Kootenai Health hospital.
Coeur d’Alene police the shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the 2800 block of Wilbur Avenue in Coeur d’Alene. The name of the officer who was shot has not been released at this time.
