Trial underway for Madison Co. man accused of sexually abusing boys

REXBURG — Jury selection is currently underway in the trial of a Madison County man accused of sexually abusing teenage boys.
Brandon Briggs is facing multiple charges including felony lewd conduct with a child under 16, sexual abuse by soliciting a minor under 16 to participate in a sexual act and enticing through the internet.
The alleged incidents involved several victims and occurred during 2013 and 2014.
Court documents show Briggs is accused of touching and engaging in oral sex with the boys while at his home or on trips with friends. Briggs allegedly bought at least one victim alcohol and cigarettes.
The trial is expected to last four days. If convicted, Briggs could face up to life in prison.
