Rexburg Police address possible ‘out of context’ situation involving officer

The Rexburg Police Department issued the following statement Tuesday evening. Officials did not elaborate on the details. EastIdahoNews.com is looking into the situation and will provide updates when we learn more.
“The Rexburg Police Department is currently looking into a social media situation that has been brought to our attention in which it appears a number of postings by a police officer may have been taken out of context.
We take any matter involving race very seriously and the matter will be reviewed and dealt with appropriately.”
