RIGBY — Jefferson County deputies responded to a shots fired call late Tuesday night.

At around 10:30 p.m. the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call at 192 N. 3940 E.

Deputies say that upon arrival, they determined that Bryce L. Anderson, 32, had discharged a rifle outside of his residence.

Anderson was attempting to discharge another round from the rifle when Kelly Knighton, 31, intervened.

Deputies say at that point the firearm discharged causing minor injuries to Anderson’s left hand and Knighton’s right hand.

Both were transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by private vehicle.
