They provide a free nativity for the community and Secret Santa just surprised them

  Published at

A Secret Santa has asked EastIdahoNews.com to help him give away $200,000 to deserving people and families living in east Idaho. From now until Christmas, Santa’s “elves” will be delivering surprises to many in our community. Some of the deliveries will be recorded – many will not. For more than 10 years, Brent and Janice Ritchie and their 4H kids have been presenting a live nativity to the community every Christmas.

After the performance, they give out homemade donuts and hot chocolate. They pay for it all out of their own pockets.

The Ritchies live very modestly in a home that Brent built. Janice is always the first to give service to anyone in need. They have a nephew with Down syndrome who lives with them full time because he loves to be on their farm. They also have a brother with some special needs who lives next door to them.

The Ritchies only have carpet in their living room. All of the hallways and bedrooms are bare floor.

When the Secret Santa learned about this wonderful family, he asked the EastIdahoNews.com elves to go surprise them with a special gift.
