Different teams, same jersey: Athletes remember young teammate after sudden death
Published at | Updated atIDAHO FALLS — After finding out about the sudden death of a fellow player, two opposing teams decided to come together to honor him Tuesday night.
Eagle Rock Middle School and Madison Junior High School players donned a special warm up shirt and sweatband with the number 24 and Camden Taylor’s initials. Camden played basketball for Eagle Rock and died after suffering an aneurysm Feb. 9 while at school.
8th grade Eagle Rock player Jaxon White wore Camden’s jersey while playing in the game and the remembrance was not limited to the boy’s basketball teams.

Both Eagle Rock and Madison Jr. High girls wore warm up jerseys with Camdens number and initials before their game also with Madison coaches wearing warm up jerseys out of respect for the Taylor family.
“We all got a little emotional when we saw it,” writes Yuli Zamudio on the Eagle Rock Middle School Parent Club Facebook Page. “It was so heartwarming.”
