PYEONGCHANG, South Korea — The 27 Women’s Slopestyle athletes took to the course Sunday at Phoenix Snow Park for a two run final and Rigby’s very own Jessika Jenson was among the competitors.

As a second time Olympian, she was one of Team USA’s four competitors to place in the top 6.

The wind was howling, delaying the start of competition, but Jenson was the first American down the mountain and she laid down a clean first run capped by a perfect 720 landing on her final jump.’

Her 72.26 put her on top of the leaderboard for a moment, but when it was all set and done, she finished just shy of the podium in fifth place.

American Jamie Anderson ended up winning the gold.

Jenson is not done. She is set to compete in the big air competition.
