Woman killed, man rushed to hospital following I-15 crash

UPDATE 7:50 p.m.

On Monday, March 12 at approximately 1:41 p.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle, fatality crash, southbound Interstate 15 near milepost 84, north of Fort Hall.

Rosemary Harding, 62, of Blackfoot, was driving southbound on Interstate 15 in a 2014 Nissan Sentra. Harding made an abrupt lane change and was struck from behind by a 2016 Volvo commercial vehicle. Harding’s vehicle went off the road and into the median. The commercial vehicle was driven by Fernando Soares, 34, of Wendell.

Rosemary Harding was ejected and succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Dean Harding, 27, of Blackfoot, Rosemary’s passenger, was transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

The left lane of travel was blocked for approximately four hours. Next of kin has been notified.

FORT HALL — The Idaho State Police is currently investigating a crash southbound I-15 at milepost 84.5 near Fort Hall.

Witnesses say a semi-truck and car were involved in the wreck. Traffic is backed in southbound lanes.

The left lane is currently blocked.
