RIRIE — Ririe School District 252 is the latest school district in eastern Idaho to cancel classes due to ongoing illness.
The district will close all of its schools and reschedule all extracurricular activities on Wednesday and Thursday. Classes will resume Friday morning. During the closure, district staff will disinfect school buildings.
School officials advise parents that if their child is still sick Friday, to keep them home.
Nearby Jefferson School District 251 closed its doors Tuesday and also will close Wednesday for the same reason.
Many schools in Bonneville, Madison, Fremont, Bingham, Jefferson and Teton counties have closed in the last several weeks due to widespread respiratory illness among students.
