Home a complete loss after afternoon fire in Bonneville County

IDAHO FALLS — A mobile home is a complete loss after a fire at the 2000 block of East Iona Road on Sunday afternoon.
A off-duty firefighters noticed the blaze at around 1:30 p.m., but the trailer was already fully engulfed in flames, according to Idaho Falls Fire Department spokeswoman Kerry Hammon. As the firefighter evacuated nearby residents, on-duty firefighters arrived and quickly extinguished the fire.
One person was inside the home. That individual’s condition is unknown at this time.
The cause of the fire is also undetermined, but it remains under investigation.
The Bonneville County Sheriffs Office has the road closed off on the west side of the Iona and 25th roundabout. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes.
