POCATELLO — Investigators are trying to discover who assaulted a man left at Portneuf Medical Center on Saturday.

The Pocatello Police Department says someone dropped off 61-year-old Alexander Edmo who was the victim of a violent aggravated assault. Before police could speak with the man who was with Edmo, he left the hospital.

Police describe the man as having light skin and being dressed in all black. The man drove away from the hospital in a 1990s white Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Police did not elaborate on Edmo’s injuries but are calling the assault a violent crime.
