GALLERY: Procession for helicopter pilots killed helping fight Moose Fire

SALMON — A procession was held Thursday in honor of Thomas Hayes and Jared Bird, the pilots killed in a helicopter crash last week while helping fight the Moose Fire near Salmon.
Emergency responders and the public lined the streets as the body of the pilot was escorted from Salmon to Montana.
Crews continue to fight the fire, which has burned over 43,000 acres and is 15% contained as of Friday morning.
