AMERICAN FALLS — Summer evenings in American Falls are getting even sweeter with the return of the Music in the Park concert series to the MIP Park Pavilion.

The free weekly concert series, which has become a cherished tradition for the past 11 years, kicks off Thursday. It will offer live music by Hillbilly deLux, local food and a laid-back atmosphere under the trees.

Started by community organizer Tammy Ramsey, who is president of Music in the Park, the event takes place every Thursday from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. It brings neighbors, friends, and visitors together for a night of community and entertainment.

Each week features a different band and a rotating selection of local vendors. Ramsey said this year’s event will feature six new bands, including the Nashville-based David Young & the Interstate Kings.

Ramsey heard the band while in Nashville and was impressed by their music. She ultimately met with the band members and, through a collaboration with Stephanie Palagi, president of Historic Downtown Pocatello, will host the band at both Pocatello’s Revive at 5 and American Falls’ Music in the Park.

This week’s vendor lineup includes Gomm’s Warm Cookies, Elizabeth Garnica’s tasty treats, House of Books and Dreams, Idaho Sage Creations, Jenn’s Scents and Stuff, and 808 Step Out, offering a diverse range of products, from warm cookies and handcrafted candles to custom apparel and locally grown items.

More than just an evening of entertainment, Music in the Park supports small businesses, encourages community connection, and creates lasting summer memories.

“Music in the Park has been a joyous ride,” said Ramsey. “It isn’t just about the music. It’s about creating a space where the community can come together and enjoy something special.”

Bring your friends, your lawn chairs, your appetite and your love of live music.
