POCATELLO — Shoppers can browse dozens of women-owned businesses during the annual Women’s Marketplace on Friday, Aug. 7, in conjunction with Historic Downtown Pocatello’s First Friday Art Walk.
The free outdoor event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lookout Point, 426 W. Lewis St.
Hosted by the Business Women of Pocatello, the marketplace supports the nonprofit’s mission of providing networking, scholarship and leadership opportunities for women entrepreneurs and professionals.

Visitors can shop for handcrafted goods, specialty foods and other locally made products, while enjoying live music by Shandi Michelle. Food vendors Beixy’s Kitchen and Homefire Comfort Food will also be on site.
“This is a space where women-owned businesses, makers and creators come together to share their work, connect with the community and celebrate the talent we have right here in Pocatello,” Ellen Loomis, board president of Business Women of Pocatello, said.
Loomis said several new vendors will participate this year, giving local entrepreneurs another opportunity to introduce their businesses and products to the community.
“Every booth adds something special, and every visitor helps strengthen the community we’re building,” she said. “Come stroll, shop, eat, listen and enjoy a night dedicated to supporting local women in business.”
