Authorities identify body found in field on Christmas

ST. ANTHONY — The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office has identified a body found in a field on Christmas day.
The man is 30-year-old Juan Manuel Barragan-Martinez from Denver, Colorado. His family has been notified, according to authorities.

Deputies were called to a rural field in the Parker area around 10 a.m. on Dec. 25 after someone reported finding a body near 1900 East and 600 North. Barragan-Martinez appeared to have died due to a prolonged exposure to the elements.
It’s unclear why he was in the field or how long Barragan-Martinez had been there.
“The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank community members who assisted in the identification and in reaching out to his family, as well as to offer our condolences for their loss,” a Fremont County Sheriff’s Office news release says.
