Man killed, another man hospitalized following single-vehicle crash near Kuna

The following is a news release from Idaho State Police.

MELBA – The Idaho State Police is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:32 a.m. on Sunday May 25, 2025, near the intersection of Dry Lake Road and Bowmont Road, just north of Melba.

A red 2008 Nissan Armada, driven by a 36-year-old male with a 19-year-old male passenger, both from Mexico, was traveling westbound on Bowmont Road. The driver failed to stop at a stop sign, where the vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in an embankment.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger sustained injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Idaho State Police was assisted by the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and Canyon County Paramedics.

This incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
