A Feel Good Friday as we crash a school assembly to surprise a custodian fighting cancer

EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore are teaming up every week to bring you some good news during Feel Good Friday!

We want to surprise people in our community with random acts of kindness and leave you feeling good.

This week Westside Elementary School in Idaho Falls held a student assembly to honor their longtime custodian who has been fighting cancer. The students and teachers wore black and white in honor of “Mr. D” and they were able to pay $1 to wear a beard to school that day. Mr. D is known for his long beard. At the assembly, the school surprised Mr. D with the money that was raised.

We decided to surprise the students and Mr. D at the assembly and thank him for all his work over the years.
