EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore are teaming up every week to bring you some good news during Feel Good Friday!

We want to surprise people in our community with random acts of kindness and leave you feeling good.

Marcel and Maurice Gentillon are identical twins who were born in 1929. They turn 90-years-old on Jan. 15 and they have only spent two years apart over the past nine decades.

Both of the boys weighed over seven pounds when they were born. Their parents immigrated to Firth, Idaho from France and Marcel and Maurice had to learn English in the first grade.

They both graduated from Firth High School and are the biggest supporters of the high school athletic programs. They never want to miss a game and several of this grandkids and great-grandkids have played on different teams.

Marcel served in the army for two years and that’s the only time the brothers were apart. Their homes are still within a mile of each other in Firth.

Both boys spent their lives farming. Marcel and his wife had five children and Maurice and his wife are the parents of six children. They have dozens of grandkids between them and hundreds of great-grandchildren (and even a few great-great-grandchildren!).

The Gentillon family is celebrating their 90th birthday this weekend with a big party at the Firth Stake Center in Basalt on Saturday from 2-5.

We decided to give Marcel and Maurice an early birthday present and learn a little about their lives. Watch the video above to see the surprise!
