A Feel Good Friday surprise for a student with Down syndrome whose dream just came true on the basketball court

EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore are teaming up every week to bring you some good news during Feel Good Friday!

We want to surprise people in our community with random acts of kindness and leave you feeling good.

This week a West Jefferson High School student had an experience he’ll never forget.

Wylee Morton has Down syndrome and is a huge fan of the school’s basketball program. He attends as many games as he can and this week the team allowed him to suit up and play before their official game.

Even though Wylee is 21-years-old, he’s been allowed to attend the school in Terreton but that will soon change as Idaho law prohibits students over the age of 21.

Players, coaches and spectators cheered as Wylee took to the court and even made a few baskets.

We decided to congratulate Wylee on his excellent performance and surprised him during class! Watch the video above to see what happened and if you have any ideas for Feel Good Friday, email neaton@eastidahonews.com.
