Several years ago, McLean’s son, Jeff, told his family he was gay. McLean says that began a “faith crisis” where he began to question everything he believed and had shared with millions around the world.

During their conversation, McLean tells Eaton what happened during that period of time, how Jeff helped him through and provides words of encouragement for others in difficult moments.

They also discuss The Forgotten Carols and what’s next for the performer.
